Thank you for choosing Spoon River Tool and Party Rentals. We appreciate your business and are committed to providing clean, safe, dependable, and well-maintained equipment. By renting equipment from us, you agree to the following Rental Agreement and Terms and Conditions.

  1. Eligibility

The person signing this agreement represents that they:

  • Are at least 18 years of age. 
  • Are legally authorized to enter into this agreement. 
  • Will operate the equipment safely. 
  • Will not allow anyone unqualified to operate the equipment. 
  1. Equipment Condition

Every item is inspected before leaving our facility.

The customer acknowledges the equipment was received in good working condition unless otherwise noted.

The customer agrees to inspect the equipment before use and notify Spoon River Tool and Party Rentals immediately if any issue is discovered.

  1. Rental Responsibility

The customer accepts full responsibility for the equipment from pickup or delivery until it is returned and checked in by our staff.

This includes:

  • Loss 
  • Theft 
  • Fire 
  • Vandalism 
  • Weather damage 
  • Accidental damage 
  • Negligence 
  • Unauthorized use 
  1. Safe Operation

Equipment shall only be used:

  • For its intended purpose 
  • According to manufacturer instructions 
  • By competent operators 
  • On suitable surfaces and conditions 

Equipment may not be modified or altered.

  1. Prohibited Uses

Equipment shall NOT be used:

  • While impaired 
  • For illegal activities 
  • Beyond rated capacities 
  • In unsafe weather conditions 
  • By minors 
  • By unauthorized persons 
  1. Payment Authorization

Customer authorizes Spoon River Tool and Party Rentals to charge the payment method on file for:

  • Rental charges 
  • Late fees 
  • Cleaning charges 
  • Fuel replacement 
  • Missing accessories 
  • Repair costs resulting from misuse 
  • Replacement costs for lost or stolen equipment 
  1. Late Returns

Equipment returned after the agreed rental period may continue to accrue rental charges until returned.

Customers needing additional time should contact us before the rental expires whenever possible.

  1. Damage Reporting

Any equipment that becomes damaged or malfunctions must be taken out of service immediately.

Customer agrees to notify Spoon River Tool and Party Rentals as soon as reasonably possible.

  1. Inspection Upon Return

Every rental is inspected upon return.

Photos and video documentation may be taken before and after each rental to document equipment condition.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Illinois law, Lake Dreams Enterprises LLC, doing business as Spoon River Tool and Party Rentals, shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use rented equipment.

Nothing in this agreement is intended to waive liability where such waiver is prohibited by law.

  1. Indemnification

The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Lake Dreams Enterprises LLC from claims arising from the customer’s misuse, negligent operation, or violation of this agreement, to the extent permitted by law.

  1. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.

Venue for legal proceedings shall be the appropriate court located in Fulton County, Illinois, unless otherwise required by law.

  1. Electronic Signature

Electronic signatures and electronic acceptance shall have the same legal effect as handwritten signatures to the extent permitted by applicable law.

  1. Entire Agreement

This Rental Agreement represents the complete understanding between the customer and Lake Dreams Enterprises LLC regarding the rental transaction and supersedes prior verbal discussions relating to that rental.

Customer Acknowledgment

By signing electronically, I acknowledge that I have:

  • Read this Rental Agreement. 
  • Had an opportunity to ask questions. 
  • Understand my responsibilities. 
  • Agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Spoon River Tool and Party Rentals, we understand that plans change. Our goal is to be fair to our customers while ensuring equipment remains available for others.


Standard Tool Rentals


 Reservations may be canceled 24 hours or more before the scheduled rental period
without penalty.
 Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled rental may be subject to a
cancellation fee.
 Once equipment has been picked up or delivered, rental charges begin and are generally
non-refundable.

Party Equipment Rentals

Because party equipment is often reserved for specific dates, cancellations may affect our ability to rent the equipment to another customer.

 Cancellations 7 days or more before the event receive a full refund of amounts paid, less any non-refundable booking fee if applicable.
 Cancellations within 7 days may result in forfeiture of some or all prepaid rental charges, depending on the circumstances.
 If severe weather makes outdoor use unsafe, please contact us as soon as possible. We will work with you in good faith to reschedule when practical. Early Returns Returning equipment early does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund unless approved by Spoon River Tool and Party Rentals.

Equipment Problems

If rented equipment experiences a mechanical issue that is not caused by misuse, please stop using it immediately and contact us. We will make reasonable efforts to repair, replace, or adjust charges when appropriate.

Delivery & Pickup Policy

Delivery Service
Delivery is available within our service area for an additional fee.
Delivery charges are based on distance, equipment size, labor requirements, and scheduling.

Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:

 Provide safe and reasonable access.
 Ensure someone at least 18 years old is available to accept delivery unless other
arrangements have been made.
 Verify the equipment upon delivery.
 Notify us immediately of any concerns.
Pickup

Equipment must be ready for pickup at the scheduled time.
Customers are responsible for:

 Disconnecting equipment where appropriate.
 Cleaning excessive dirt or debris.
 Gathering all accessories and attachments.

Additional labor charges may apply if equipment is not accessible or ready when our driver arrives.

Missed Deliveries or Pickups

If no one is available or access cannot be obtained, additional trip charges may apply.

Customer Pickup

Customers picking up equipment must ensure they have a vehicle capable of safely transporting the rented equipment.
Spoon River Tool and Party Rentals reserves the right to refuse loading if we reasonably believe transportation is unsafe.
